Hiring – Digital PR Specialist – Local Required Fruition is hiring a part-time digital PR specialist in our Denver office. This could lead to full time work depending upon results and talent/cultural fit. As an agency digital PR specialist, you are responsible for cultivating and maintaining the relationships that result in high-quality media placements through email, social media, phone calls, and good old-fashioned personal networking. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple local and national clients in a wide variety of industry verticals including health care, ecommerce, travel, and general business, to find the best-fit for digital and traditional placements. We’re looking for a new team member with a passion for the press, creative zest and the communication and organizational skills to gain real, measurable results for our clients. Primary Responsibilities Develop creative content ideas and media pitches Develop media materials, including media lists, pitch letters and press releases Assist project manager, design team and and clients with creating media kits Work closely with project managers to coordinate brand messaging, topics and campaigns Coordinate content creation and editing with content manager Research placement opportunities to develop and maintain a list of media contacts in both local and national markets Develop relationships with digital and traditional media outlets in multiple verticals Assist the social media team in identifying and building relationships with social media influencers in multiple verticals Execute media outreach for a variety of clients consecutively in a timely manner Ongoing monitoring and engagement on earned media placements Craft and submit award entries Participate in pre-contract sales support and client meetings Attend local networking events, conferences and speaking engagements Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of PR experience Experience with HARO and press release platforms Utilize an already owned media list and relationships to get articles published and introduce clients to key influences for interviews, media tours, etc Continuously build relationships with new influencers, so PR campaigns can run efficiently and timely (don’t take 2 months to build a relationship and then try to get an article published that was timely too long ago and now it doesn’t matter) Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications or related field Strong writing, grammar and editing skills (don’t proof this post and send it back) Exceptional verbal, presentation and communication skills Excels at interfacing with clients Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with colleagues Proactive and highly organized with strong time management and planning skills Ability to multitask and work within tight deadlines Be able to produce media kits, organize media tours and media stays. Proven track record of successful media placements Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of search engine optimization Established list of media contacts Past experience in sales, marketing or business development Well-developed and active professional social media profiles Past large agency experience Job Details Will develop ideas for clients in order to build a campaign, maintain a campaign (by always bring new outreach ideas to the table) and up-sell clients on outreach efforts. Up-selling clients on outreach efforts will be key to SEO, but we need to be able to back up the up-sell. This is an hourly, part-time position. Pay based on experience. Local (CO) required This position starts as a 1099 Independent Contractor, which transitions to a permanent, full-time hire after excelling for 3 months.
