What Can a Page 1 Presence on Google Do for Your Business?

One of the most important sources of traffic (probably the best) is organic traffic. Internet marketing “Gurus” say that it is the best because of its quality. It brings the most relevant and targeted traffic among all the sources of traffic available on the internet and that’s why it’s becoming an obsession for internet marketers these days. So what does organic traffic really mean?

Organic traffic is that FREE traffic that everyone loves; it’s the natural traffic that you can get for free from search engines like Google. Unlike the paid traffic, you don’t have to pay anything to get this traffic. The only thing that you have to do is to optimize your website content for the search engines. In this case we are talking about Google optimization. So how does Google decide which web page is more important than others on the internet?

Google uses something called “Google ranking” to decide what web page is more relevant and important for a specific keyword compared to other Web Pages. In order to achieve a better Google ranking you have to optimize your site using search engine optimization or SEO techniques.

2- The second result gets about 15% of all the traffic; that means 3 times less then the 1st result.

3- The third result gets about 10% of all the traffic; this means 4.5 times less then the 1st result.

4- The fourth result gets about 7% of all the traffic; this means 6.42 times less then the 1st result.

5- The fifth result gets about 5% of all the traffic; this means 9 times less then the 1st result.

6- The sixth result gets about 4% of all the traffic; this means 11.25 times less then the 1st result.

7- The seventh result gets about 3% of all the traffic; this means 15 times less then the 1st result.

8- The eighth result gets about 2.5% of all the traffic; this means 18 times less then the 1st result.

9- The ninth result gets about 2% of all the traffic; this means 22.5 times less then the 1st result.

10- The tenth result gets about 2.5% of all the traffic; this means 18 times less then the 1st result.

The 11th result which is in the 2nd page of Google gets about 0.8% of all the traffic and the number drops down with the list.

You can see exactly what a page 1 presence on Google can bring to your business – especially the first 3 or 4 spots, because they get more then 70 of all the traffic. So if you use the right Google optimization techniques, you’ll be on the first page of a Google search for a particular keyword (hopefully on the top spots). By that, you’ll get more exposure and more clicks (more visitors) and if you get more traffic to your Web Pages that means more customers and more money.
