The Most Frequent Web Spammers

Posted on November 10, 2011 • Written by Brad Anderson

On our client websites we install a honeypot that captures spammers blog comments. We then filter the legitimate requests and crank out reports of the most active spam IP address. We then block those IPs from websites that have a high traffic load. Others we just leave open to let our honeypots do their jobs. The list of IP address below have spammed websites that we monitor frequently and across multiple websites. This shows that they are running an automated blog commenting software package. Feel free to take this list of IP addresses and add it to your firewall to prevent them from mucking up your blog and causing an increased load to your website.
