Facebook beats Google

For the first time Facebook beat Google in total traffic for the prior week. Crazy how many people spend time on Facebook. Google is still the go to place to find information and it doesn’t mean that Facebook is destined to overtake Google in search information. However, it does give Facebook a lot of momentum. This is a pretty significant event for Facebook and it’s a clear signal for advertisers that are considering Facebook marketing to jump on board and try it out. It’s also a step closer to the death of Myspace. Myspace has to transform to keep up. It can’t keep it’s current lower income base of users and demand the higher advertising dollars that Facebook and Google are getting.
